January Lull: Deep Thoughts by Jill
I have a love hate relationship with January/February. I LOVE the slow down from life, time to read, work on projects, reorganize myself and family, start goals (with family and kids), started walking everyday, Snow days and much more. I dislike the cold weather, nothing to get you going, dark afternoons, snow days with virtual schooling and long days. But luckily this January hasn't been too bad. The weather has been ok... we have gotten outside most weeks at least 3-4 times by going to parks and on hikes. It is still chilly but it is worth getting out for ALL of our sanities. Virtually schooling is not horrible or awesomely smooth but it is going ok. No one has called CPS, gotten a broken bone, thrown a computer or been suspended. lol! I now prepare myself for only one child to break down each week because they don't want to do school at home. I would definitely call that a WIN. Overall the kids know what they have to do first thing, start working, ...
