NC Beach Part 4

Image
Friday, April 22nd was a "down" day. The Boys had their morning out... they went to the Spencer's boat building warehouse and saw some of the most amazing boats being built. One of them was a 90 ft yacht! I thought to myself, I wanted to go too. While the boys were out we decided to dye eggs and have an easter egg hunt. Side note: Jare Bear decided to take Grandpa's shaver and cut his own hair. Silly boy! Then the girls had their afternoon outing. Usually during reunions the girls always go shopping, but this time it was different. We decided to go to Jockey's Ridge and take some cool pictures. I don't have any of them yet but when we get all the pictures from everyone I will post a few. Then that night we had a birthday celebration for those that had recent birthdays. Les, Andy and "A". And that is the end of our beach trip. We had a great vacation... it was fun, exhausting, beautiful, hard BUT worth it!

NC Beach Part 3

Wednesday, April 20th we decided to ride the ferries. At first we were supposed to ride the ferries on Tuesday but when we got to the waiting area, the wait was an hour and a half. There was no way we were going to wait that long in the afternoon. We then changed our plans for Wednesday... left early in the morning rode the ferries, had lunch on Ocracoke Island and then came back to the beach house. All the twins wanted to do was climb in the back of uncle Les's truck. Click on pictures to see them better. Jare Bear was glued to the vacuum for most of the trip. Averie and Missa pretending to do pedicures on each other.

NC Beach Part 2

Tuesday we got out of the beach house. We went to Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, went swimming and had a dance party. It was a long day but the kids had a blast. Our Family at Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Our family was not able to climb the lighthouse b/c we had too many young kids. Maybe next time. (Click on the collages to see them better) At the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum we were able to get pictures of the kids as a "pirate". Each cousin got 2 turns. That was the funniest thing for them. We swam in the pool everyday! The kids begged everday to get into the pool. April is the only one that didn't care for the pool. Jare Bear took some time getting used to it, but by the second day was loving it. Dance Party!!! The twins had danced sooo hard. Missa needed some "down time" and didn't dance, "A" was already asleep. "Jacolena" got sooo hot dancing and we had to strip her pjs off so she didn...

NC Beach Part 1

We arrived on a Saturday night and got all settled in. Sunday and Monday were relaxing catch up days from the traveling and packing on Friday and Saturday. Sunday we went to church and relaxed around the house. NOTE: click on the collages to zoom in and see the pictures better. Sunday, April 17th My nephew Traver can eat a WHOLE lot of oranges... this was just in one eating time. He did this at least 3 times a day. Of course they were really good oranges. Sunday, April 17th Salsa and Tapioca were on the menu! Monday was even better... we played on the beach and had a lot of fun in the pool. The kids LOVED the pool, it was surrounded by the house so there for it blocked the winds from the ocean. The setup of the house was great. Well except for the screams and loudness of my kids carried to the fourth floor into two of the bedrooms. But hey it was fun and the first two days were worth it! Monday, April 18th Jare Bear loved the beach. He could have spent the entire day out on th...

April's 1st Birthday

Image
Before we left on our trip I decided at the last minute to celebrate April's birthday. I am very glad, I wanted to do something small with little family there. We did have T's parents there and B&B too... it was very laid back and relaxing. She got clothes, puppets and toys. I also took her to her 1 year old docter's appointment. The only "stat" I can remember is that she weighs 19.5 lbs. Maybe we can switch her to forward facing soon. We shall see it might be a few weeks/month till we can get a new carseat.

I'm Back

Image
Wow, That is the longest I haven't blog in a couple of years. I have been on vacation (well still kind of am) on the Beaches of NC. I have lots of pictures but honestly, I haven't had the time to download or blog. I am hoping I can do at tonight or sometime today while my three youngest are napping. Here is a taste of what I have been enjoying the last week.

195 Dresses

I wished I had thought of that when I was a teenager. Brilliant, I think more YW should think of doing this in their own LDS church wards.

Ogden Temple Closing

Image
The LDS Ogden Temple has officially closed! It closed on April 2nd and we decided to get some pictures of it before the renovation. The other three kids were asleep in the car, so Missa and I ran around the temple to get some pictures. Then T and her got some near the entrance. We will miss having a temple close by but we are used to traveling farther to a temple. Just some random pictures at home. "A" has started to become very "fiesty", she wants to feed herself with untensils. NOT her hands but with utensils. She actually does a pretty good job for an almost 12 month old. "Jacolena" in her usually day to day attire, she loves to put shoes and coats on. Silly girl. Missa has been taking my camera and taking pictures. These are only 2 of the 20 she took. Don't mind it as long as she doesn't let the other kids play with it. But sometimes she forgets. :) I give up... I have tried three times to repost these pictures to show up for this ...

Aunt Rachel's Birthday

Image
Our house is full of surprises and chaos. "A" makes me laugh with the little things she does. The twins exhaust (and make me laugh) when they are inventing new ways to get into things. Their favorite thing is to figure out how and what to climb on to get to the computer. "Missa" actually took some of these pictures. She did a great job too. :) Tonight we went to "Cho Cho's" house to celebrate her birthday. "T" and I made her dinner with the Tuckers contributing too. Then the Barts brought her the desert and cake. Cho Cho's neighbor Willi also joined in the fun. It was a really nice night and the kids love her backyard. We also did a Pajama parade with a dance party on the side. Wish I had my camera out at that point. I know she is tired tonight from all of us being there but enjoyed us. This gets me really excited about our trip in a couple of weeks. Tonight was an example of how our reunion on the beach will be. Pure fun and c...

Grandma Barbara's Birthday (& Lili's too)

Image
Last weekend we drove up to Logan and celebrated Grandma Barbara's Birthday. We also brought up Lili's present b/c we didn't have it when we saw them last. Lili was really excited to open a present up too. It was such a nice day and we got outside to play. The kids had a blast, no one was sick and kids did great! Brittney and I fixed dinner & desert for Barbara while the men "watched" the kids.
