Tribute my dad

It is with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of our dad, Paul Bartholomew, a long time member of the Stake and Raleigh 1st Ward. Dad/Paul was visiting family in Utah where he lost consciousness in the night and could not be revived. It had no relation to the Covid pandemic. Family was with him in the hospital as he passed. Dad/Paul was a renowned and beloved presence in all of our lives, and the natural instinct right now is to reach out to his family; however they ask that for the moment you forbear, particularly with regard to Loanne. Her deepest wish in the coming days is to grieve privately and quietly with her family. We ask that you please don’t text or call her. As word has begun to trickle out, we/family has been receiving offers of help and support that are greatly appreciated; however this could easily turn into a flood. Another Hike to blog about

Missa got a package with games, candy and apparel from a UNC Sorority injunction with being a Duke Children's Ambassador.  She was so EXCITED!!! Catchup for October

Having the kids home for Virtual learning has been HARD.  I feel bad for everyone. I can barely get laundry and dinner accomplished in the day with schooling.  Getting outside... we have to actually schedule this. I could go into a long rant about the cons but I feel all it will do is make things worse.    Changes for me: doctor appointments can only be in the afternoon, Sewing only happens on the weekends, Me time rarely happens (reading, family history, sewing organizing, menu planning and so much more), and I am so tired at night all I want to do is "veg" and watch tv.   I can not stand to be on Social Media right now because people are so mean, rude, disrespectful and ugly towards each other about hot topics: COVID, Civil Rights and politics. I have had to put into place some stricter guidelines for myself.  In addition to this, we have had lessened our electronics time for our kids.  My health has been good, but my heart has started to ache o...
