NC Museum of Natural Sciences Thursday afternoon Spent time in the Discovery room  Pullen Park  Thursday morning We eventually met up with Aunt Colette/Cousin Abby and Mindy/boys.   This is where the house I was brought home from the hospital and lived for the first 2 years of my life.  They tour the house down and built this magnificent home.  As you can see this part of town is being revitalized. Saturday Spring Break Hike We did a 2.5 hour hike at a local reservoir.  The kids did great and we definitely learned about different plants, bugs and how to dress for different weather.  I see more and more hikes in our future. On our Spring Break we traveled to the other side of the county to   Cabela's and Agri-Supply .  Our kids were in heaven.  Although they were very excited and round up from the trip it was impossible to make it thru the store without someone fighting. ...

Spring Break 2017- Part 1  Monday  - Big D puked at 8am in the morning.  ALL plans were canceled.  Yes, a great way to start the break off!!  Got laundry done, picked up a friend from work and I practiced a song with another friend for an upcoming musical night . Tuesday - JC Raulston Arboretum's Easter Egg Hunt The weather was beautiful (AGAIN. :), the gardens were spectacular, I was prepared with food and kids were ready.  We got there and started off fine until.... Jacolena was being competitive and hurting her siblings to race to the front of our "line".  It was so frustrating, finding each egg and hearing a child cry because Jacolena hurt them. UGH. After careful consideration we instilled a rule... Each kid got to take a turn to be the "line leader" and find an egg.  That worked for a short time but still the kids and mostly Jacolena were fighting to race to the eggs.  FINALLY I took Jacolena and told her she ...
