Vacation/Cruise

Image
Embarking on the Boat Our first two days of the cruise we had "Fun Days at Sea".   We were so tired that it took 2 entire days just to recover from our yard sale and packing.  We slept and ate.  The first Elegant night: Day 2  Day 3: We walked around Cabos San Lucas.  It was hot and a LOT of walking.  We decided not to sign up for a specific excursion.  We shopped, ate and lounged on the beach.  Then took a water taxi back to the marina, shopped and got on the boat.  Land's End  The Beach where we had a ton of vendors come around every 2 seconds. Day 4: Troy scuba dived near Land's End (a famous rock at the end of the Baja of California).  I got a wonderful massage and facial.  Then played trivia games and saw shows on the boat.  Day 5: Porta Vallerta was awesome.  We loved this city much more than Cabos.  It was bigger and more lush with green.  We si...

Jare Bear's Preschool Teachers

Image
Jare Bear loves his Preschool Teachers.  They have taught him so much this year.  I can't even thank them enough for what they have done.  Since we are moving I wanted to get a good picture of them.  The lady on the left is Mrs. Khan, then Ms. Lonah Manside and Mrs. Leslie.  We will miss them. :)

Our college graduate - Troy

Image
Troy will officially be a college graduate tomorrow morning. This was his senior project. I can't think of the name of it but basically it is a building/home he designed for third world countries. It is easy to assemble and cheap to make. He designed and made everything. This process of school has taken a while: 1. 9 full years of school (5.5 of off and on part time school/work and 3.5 years of full time school/part time work) 2. During the 3.5 years of full time school we started out with a 2 year old and 4 month old twins, then ended up with a 5.5 year old, 2 3.5 year olds, a 2 yr old and another one due in 5 months. 3. Lived 2 different places while in full time school. 4. Lived on mostly on student loans and his part time job 5. Rarely traveled (once to ID and once to NC) 6. Lived mostly on one car (a van) 7. Changed his major 2x (Construction Management - Manufacturing Engineering - Design Graphics Engineering) 8. Basically lived on the littlest possible 9. Troy will be 33...

Saying Goodbyes

Image
It's official... we are moving to NC at the beginning of next month (2 weeks away). For the summer we will be there and continue to job hunt. It will be nice to be closer to the other siblings on my side of the family. Although it will be a bummer b/c we will be farther from Troy's siblings and my other 3 siblings. When we first moved here 4 years ago it wasn't easy making friends. The first 6 months were CRAZY and there was so much transition (giving birth to the twins). Then moving to Ogden was hard with 3 small kids and no family within 35 minutes. We made a few friends and did ok . The ward ( LDS Congregation) was a GREAT ward. But we were only there for a year and had to move b/c we were about to have another baby. Our current ward and stake wasn't that easy to get to know at first. It took a while to get to know people. Eventually we adjusted made friends! There are a few things I have liked about living in UTAH: 1. The mountains 2. Snow... when...

OT Appt/Fieldtrip/2 yr old chck up

Image
"Jare Bear" has been going to Occupational Therapy 2x a month. Last fall he went to Speech Therapy and that only worked for 6 weeks. Some appts have been successfull and others are NOT. He has a lot of mild sensory issues: change is hard, hated swings, seams on clothing, some textures on food, climbing, balance is off, has to wear certain shoes or clothing, won't wear glasses and etc... As the time as progressed we have generally worked on his balance and body awareness issues. This has helped in numerous areas!!!! He actually has started to like swings, changes are not that bad as long as you give him time, he doesn't trip as much, speech has progressed and etc. Now that we are moving to NC we are almost done. Here he is with Lori, the OTherapist. She is awesome to say the least. Not only she is a good therapist but she as four kids and understands children and the time commitment. We will miss her dearly. The other day our Home Preschool had a field trip...

"Crazy A's" 2nd Birthday

Image
Also this weekend we celebrated "Crazy A's" 2nd Birthday. The candles were memorizing. It is kind of weird not to have another baby by this point but I am glad. She and I have a bond that is very precious to me. I am her favorite (T knows this :). Opening presents was by far the favorite thing to do and she was awesome at it. "Crazy A" literally acts like a 2.5 year old child. She talks in sentences, is basically potty trained, climbs everywhere, takes care of the twins, plays with "Missa" beautifully, physically can do as much as the twins and is very nurturing. The big present from mommy. Lets just say that big sister, Missa has an eye on this pony. Totally random picture. These are my fraternal grandparents (Eleanor and Victor Bartholomew) with my great grandmother (can't remember which one?) . Crazy A's middle name is after Eleanor - Lynn is short for it.

Easter Weekend

This year I decided to not make the girls dresses even though I really wanted to. There just wasn't any time. When my sister gave me the next season of clothes... I saw the dress for Marissa and knew I could easy coordinate with that. Then I went to Old Navy and found two cute dresses. The dresses are big enough for the little girls to wear them next year. I love his smile. He is getting to so good at taking pictures and wanting to smile.! She was definitely getting hungry and I was trying so hard to go fast and quick. WHEW!! Here I am at 18 weeks pregnant. I am supposed to found out if we are having a boy or girl on the 18th. But I might see if I can make an earlier appointment for this week b/c next week is going to be busy. Love "Crazy A's" face. Easter Egg dying. (well eating by "Jare Bear" and "Jacolena") This was the first year I tried doing Easter Egg Baskets. Ok so here is my opinion about the Easter Egg baskets: I do NOT like them....
