Multiple Nelsons

Wow it is actually quiet right now at our house? Here is what is happening... Marissa: playing with a Safety First Baby Kit (brush, toothbrush, comb, nail clippers and a file) Jackie: In the Excersaucer, 2nd time I put her in it and she likes it. Jared: In the Bouncy, getting tired and ready to nap again. I can't believe it! All three have been fed and diapers changed, AND they are quiet. Who knows in about 5 minutes things might be very different. Luckily Troy just got home. Phew, I made it. :) Side note: Marissa is known as the official "Pacifer Puter Inner". She loves to put the "pacis" in their mouths.

    I hope you enjoy the pictures. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas with Troy's parents and brother (his family). Then the day after Christmas headed down to SLC to my sister's house. Then we went sledding with my brother's and sister's family and opened presents. The only part of the trip I didn't enjoy was the car ride home. We have been very lucky the six months we have lived here to have good car trips to and from SLC. Well the way home was nuts. Jared screaming off and on the entire time (gassy, hungry, wet from the leaking bottle, tired of the car seat or something) AND Marissa screaming b/c her ears hurt. The worst part of the trip was; this was happening while going through Sardine Canyon (Brigham City to Logan), snowing, following a snow plow and going 25mph in the dark. But we made it and I am thankful. Luckily that will be our last trip from Logan to SLC/SLC to Logan b/c we are moving. If I don't post for a while, it is b/c we move this wee...

     

    Jackie and Marissa in their Christmas dresses.   These are sewing projects I have been working on the past few weeks. The first picture is actually an early Christmas presents that Marissa and I made for Troy. The next two are pictures for the girls and nieces.   An isicle in the walkway to the car (in this picture it was 4 ft). That thing WAS huge. It went from the roof to the ground almost. I think it was at least 5-6 feet long when it finally broke. It finally broke oh, yesterday. Oh, yeah, you see how much snow we are getting. Today it snow again another 6 inches. Way too much. Can't wait to move down to Ogden where you aren't digging yourself out of the snow. Don' get me wrong, I love the snow. But I would like to eventually invest in a nice snow blower. :)

This picture was taken from a week ago, but imagine about 6 more inches of snow, lots of wind, much more snow on the steps and patio area and much colder than it looks. So as I am waiting for a lady from church to come help me this morning, I decided to put rock salt on the steps. It was snowing again and I didn't want anyone to slip on the steps. When I got done with the task I go to open the door and it was LOCKED.... Marissa locked me out of the house, in 25 degree weather, snowy, windy and cold. I almost panicked at first but realized if she can lock me out, she can unlock it. At first I yelled at her from outside the window, and she ran and hid in her room. She thought she was in trouble and cried. As I was doing this, I am thinking, well there is someone coming to help me, then I can use their cell phone to call Troy and unlock the apartment. After a minute, she came back. It took me about 4 tries to get her in unlock the door. AND SHE DID IT. PHEW! I was back inside t...

  Here are some random pictures from the past week around the house. Marissa tried on Jared's overalls and Jackie loves to suck her thumb. Marissa and Lili (her cousin) were watching Cinderalla.    

I got sleep last night.... That means, Jackie and Jared both slept through the night. Jackie has been sleeping from 10:30pm to about 7:30-8am for about 3 weeks. Jared usually wakes up once. Well, he slept from 12:15am to 7:30am!!!! YES. He actually slept 7 hours instead of 5 hours. I hope he does it again.

  The first picture is with Rachel and the "Utah" Bartholomew Grandkids. The second picture is Brian (my brother) and his family. The 3rd picture is Sherrie and her family. And then of course Troy and I with the twins. I wanted to go and get Marissa but we were short on time so we opted to not pull Marissa out of the Nursery class.   We had tried to get a good picture of Jared, but he was pretty cranky after church. We were only able to get a good one of Jackie. Isn't she cute?

Here are a few of the pictures from the Blessing of the twins and Marissa's 2nd Birthday. We did them on the same day to save time especially with lots of family. We have more pictures from the blessing, I am waiting for my sister Sherrie to send them. Enjoy.      

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun. We had Troy's three brothers and parents with us. Two of them had their families with them. Along with lots of fun here in Utah, My parent's came home from their mission!!! Yeah, I am really excited about seeing them in January. They got home two days before Thanksgiving and spent it with Annie's family. Here are some more pictures from our Thanksgiving.   Jackie is wearing the dress that my mom made for me. I wore that dress when I was less than 3 months old. Isn't it cute?   This is my favorite video of Marissa so far.

Yeah, I don't usually blog this much! But since there is no tv and I don't get out much I do blog more. Here are the stats for the twins: Jackie: 10 lbs 3 oz (50%th), 22 inches long (50%th) Jared: 9 lbs 13 oz (12%th), 21.5 inches long (8th%) These stats are on the normal growth chart. Yes, Jared is a little smaller than Jackie but he has "bigger shoes to fill", his growth curve is a little bigger.
