Multiple Nelsons

We went here for the weekend!!! We didn't stay the night, just checked out beach houses for an upcoming Family Reunion.  It. WAS. SO. NICE.  We had Baby D with us and it felt like a REAL vacation.  I could not be more THANKFUL to my parents for watching the four oldest.  It tired Grandpa and Grandma out but it was a trip Troy and I needed.  Thanks G&G.       Now onto a VERY  busy week with therapy 2x, 2 doctor appointments and a surgery.  We'll survive!

How many kids can fit on daddy's lap? Happy Valentine's Day Right now, we are in the beginning of a snow storm and haven't lost power. (when I wrote this two days ago... now it is Friday!)   Two kids are asleep and the others are watching movies.  It's nice to have "down" days when the kids are good.  Don't ask me how it went this morning.  Troy is home from work though!  We started a new chore chart this week.  The last chore chart was easily changeable by "Missa" and I was getting quite annoyed with her changing it constantly so she has easy jobs. This time I added Baby D and me to the chart.  I knew I didn't want to change things within the year and that he is getting "big" enough to help out.  He actually has started to vacuum and even does it better than "Jacolena". Crazy A changes outfits at LEAST 3x a day or more.  Always something different, more creative and just not right for the season. Last Monday night for Family Home Evening we went to the local library to check out books.  What an experience... it was good for the first 15 minutes... the last 10 minutes  weren't good.  While trying to check out Child #1, holding Child #5 and making sure another wasn't lost (Child #2), another child started to act up and Troy was with us helping child #4.  Guess who???!!! - Jare Bear, let's just say he was ready to go and we left within 5 minutes.  We will still go back and they will know who we are. I am just glad to see our library books are getting read. New sippy cups because all the others were leaking or lost.  He always asks this question, "Are you happy, mommy".  He wants to make sure he is making us happy.  When we aren't happy I make sure to tell him.  Pinterest ...

Warm Day The up and down weather is driving me crazy, the kids are getting sick from this crazy weather.... BUT it is good for kids to get out and play. The twins have been out of school for 2 weeks, due to sickness and snow.  AHHHH!!! They have go to tomorrow. Cold Day An Extremely COLD Day 2 days after the warm day. School was canceled for four days because of the threat of snow, snow day and extreme cold temperatures. He didn't want to wear the waterproof gloves I gave him.  Finally after 4 tries, he came in and got new ones b/c his hands were too cold. She also wouldn't listen to me and wear the waterproof gloves.  After coming inside three time, she finally opted to have her hands warm and took the water proof gloves.  Guess mom can be right?
