Christmas 2017 with Bartholomew Family Starting Monday, December 18th our family got a mild flu bug.  It consisted of: headaches, migraines, fevers and then followed, was a cold/cough and congestion.  Each kid had slightly varied symptoms... like Missa vomited and Jacolena got an ear infection.    Missa got it Sunday morning Crazy A got it Monday morning and I had to get her from school Big D got is Tuesday afternoon Jacolena got it Tuesday night/Wednesday morning Jare Bear got it Thursday afternoon I got it Friday afternoon I had a debilitating migraine and literally any sound made my want to scream. I am still alive!!!  Thursday, November 30th  we headed to a normal eye check up for Jare Bear at Duke Eye Center.  I almost was about to cancel this appointment just because I didn't want to go and felt too busy already.  But something kept telling me, we need to go.  So we did. As we were there, it took forever. I started to wonder what was up.  First of all... if you have ever been to eye appointment, they are just long and boring.  They get a baseline of your eyes, dilate them, get neuro eye pictures, then "measure them" and then the doctor comes in.  Well if you have ever been to a Children's Hospital Eye clinic it is even longer with Resident Eye Doctors and the amount of patients they see in a day is staggering.  The process is long, boring and daunting.  Usually a 1-2.5 hour regular appointment.  If you are a new patient it can take 4 -6 hours.  We are NOT a new patient and our appointment was 4.5 hours, just ...

Jacolena looses shoes like hair rubber bands.  Currently we can't find a pair of shoes out of 3 pairs - boots, tennis shoes, and sunday shoes  I took the two oldest girls to the Raleigh Community Creche at our Stake Center (LDS Building that is the headquarters for the local area).  We saw a friend play the harp, hung around for an hour doing the Nativity Scavenger hunt, then went to dinner at the Chick Fil-a at North Hills. We try our best to do kid dates.  Our life is busy with lots of kids, but I realized I had this opportunity at the last minute and took it.  But I had a problem: I was starting to catch a sinus cold.  I definitely paid for it the next day with a bad sinus headache and stayed home from church.  Sometimes I wonder why I push myself?  It is in my nature, I am an energizer bunny.  lol
