Multiple Nelsons

Height: 32 inches (50%) Weight: 22 lbs 8 ozs (25%) Head Circumference: 47 cm (50%) He is starting to be a fiesty little guy.  When I see him next to other kids around his age, he seems so small.  Maybe it is his head size and the hair that make him look a LOT older but small.  OR maybe most of the people we see just have HUGE kids.  Not sure which it is. Here are some things he does: He love to wave goodbye and hi to people, anyone.   He loves to get his shoes on. Loves to help out with getting his diapers and wipes He tries to get his paci during the day and I will cave in when it is a bad day.  At 18 months, that is when I mentally start to take the paci away during the day He loves to climb He loves to play outside with the bikes and big kids He loves to escape out the fence when the other kids forget to shut the gate, then heads toward the road. I have been trying to do this post for about a week now and haven't.  Life is busy and our router "got fried". "Jare Bear" Weight: 36.5 lbs (20%) Height: 41.75 inches (16%) BMI: 15 (25%) "Jacolena" Weight: 35.5 lbs (24%) Height: 41 inches (18%) BMI: 15 (40%) Both are proportional and smaller.  I am glad they are still on the same growth curves and haven't gone down.   I do think their weights are slightly low compared to other doctor offices.  Our Pediatric's scales are not digital and need to be updated.  Both are about a pound more according to a digital scale.  What is funny... Crazy A is 38 lbs and definitely feels heavier. NOTE: Just realized I never posted this and it has been 6 months.  Opps. 

Saturday - Spring Break Day 1 For the first day of the "break" me and two of the kids went to the beach to check out more houses for a family reunion in the summer of 2015.  I NEEDED to get a break from normal life.  Troy was cool with it and me taking two of the kids wasn't bad at all.  Here we are riding a ferry.  The weather had turned out to be perfect after looking at the houses.  (While we were looking at houses it was raining the whole time) Grandpa Paul with Baby D. We looked at beaches most of the morning and part of the afternoon, rode the ferry, drove around downtown Wilmington and got ice cream.  It was really nice but I did miss Troy.  Stay tuned for each day....

 With each one of our kids, Troy has always done something "crazy" with them.  Something that has tested their strength or made me nervous.  But I look back at it now and the kids are learning to take risks while having fun with Daddy.  So with Baby D... he was having him hang from the bar.  Baby D did pretty good for an 18 month old. A rare photo opportunity - she rarely takes naps anymore @ almost 4 years old even when I FORCE her.  She. NEEDS. THEM.  I have to lay down with her and even 50% of the time she still does not fall asleep.  This particular day, even in the princess dress, she fell asleep. FINALLY! It was such a nice DAY on last Saturday and a little bit of the grass weeds needed to be mowed.  Each kid (except "Jacolena") took turns riding the mower with daddy. Ok, so I really am trying to find ways to earn (and save) extra money while being at home with my kids.  I am sewing like a mad monster and I have found some things to do: If you need an alteration to a fancy/prom dress, need someone to make curtains for your kids room, patchwork Christmas stockings (on youcanmakethis.com), a bedspread or small blanket or anything that requires sewing and you really don't want to do it or not sure how to do it.....email me @ nelsonjeneenatgmaildotcom. Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!!! My kids dressed in green, but I didn't do anything special for the Holiday.  I just don't have the desire yet.  Maybe I'll never get it or maybe some years I'll be festive.  Who knows? Every 6 months we have a speech evaluation with the therapy office we go to.  We had one for Jare Bear and I realized I don't think I have ever documented their progression for family history sake.  So here it goes. During another beautiful weather spell on Friday and Saturday, I decided to start sewing again.  Since we bought our house I had gotten in a lull of sewing.  I didn't find things to spark my interest and make it fun.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE TO SEW, but if you do to many boring projects or just don't have time, then you have to take a break.   During this "spark" of my sewing rampage, the weather turned absolutely beautiful for a few days.   On Friday I made the kids (the ones not in school) play outside in the morning to tire them out.  Then in the afternoon I had ALL FOUR of them asleep.  It was heaven for 2 hours!!  I had to document the occasion with pictures.  Then after "Missa" got home the kids played on the porch for a few more hours.  Can I tell you how much I LOVE this screened-in porch.  W.O.N.D.E.R.F.U.L. A few weeks ago my family got together for a Family Council to have a meeting about an upcoming reunion and to celebrate recent birthdays.  These family activities used to be really hard on our kids to stay up late and etc...  But in the recent months I am now seeing that our kids are finally finding activities to do with their cousins.  This particular picture with "Jacolena" sitting with her 2.5 year old cousin, Hannah was just precious.  "Jacolena" usually is playing by herself but these two have a bond that is unusual.  Thank you Colette for catching a rare moment. :)

 Baby D @ 18 months.  He is turning into a toddler, no more baby. :(  The other day I heard him come out from the "triplets" room with a flip flopping sound.  Then I looked down and he had on Crazy A's flip flops.  He was on top of the world for getting the flip flops on. At almost 18 months he has a personality: layed back, but fiesty. 1. Jare Bear is teaching him how to spit. not good. 2. He is a momma's boy  3. He doesn't like to go to nursery at church 4. He says a few words: dada, momma, shoe - schooo, ouch NOTE: by this summer if his vocabulary doesn't improve he may need speech therapy 3. He can wave his hands for goodbye and clap without being asked at the right moments. 4. He loves to wrestle with the other kids 5. Favorite thing is to put on his shoes to go outside 6. "Triplet's" room Picture Overload... I noticed a few weeks ago I hadn't taken any pictures and now I've got ton.   These are pictures of the kid's rooms when they are actually CLEAN.  IT. FELT. SO.
