Halloween Festivities

Image
Aunt Cho is Wolverette. (Girl version of Wolverine)   Bartholomews (Brian's Family)   Tuckers (Sherrie's Family)   Nelsons (My family) Troy and I did not have the time to really dress up. I eventually put a witche's cape on.   J & J were Thing 1 and Thing 2. I took Jacolena & Missa out Trick or Treating. Jare Bear didn't really care to and "A" didn't need to. It was raining outside off and on throughout the early evening. Not really the best weather but we did what we could. Brian and Heather (Flower and Bee) are "pollenating". :) Jare Bear is talking to his cousin, Brekelle (Brian's youngest) and this is Missa after getting candy. Bree, Missa and Uncle Geff (Scary Ghost). Heather and the lady bug! The Bee (Brian) with his little lady bug (Brekelle). Aunt Cho with the two ladybugs ("A" and "B"). Missa the Witch. Traver and Halle (they told me their costumes and I can only remember they were characters from re...

April's 6 month status

Image
Her Stats Weight: 14.7 lbs (18%), her weight has been going down since she was 5 months old and that is b/c she has been sick with bronchitis/early signs of pneumonia. My goal is to get her better and fatten' her up! Length: 27.09 ins (86%) Head: 17.1 ins (74%) She is sitting up with a little support. She rolls everywhere and giggles. When the other kids come over she really does love it when they give her attention. Except for when it is sitting on her, taking her toys or hitting her. But we are ALWAYS working on keeping her safe. April has starting using the Jumpy Johnny and she loves that too. Except for when the twins want to swing her into walls or doors. Luckly Missa is a good big sister and helps stop that.

Utah State Homecoming Parade

Image
We went up to Logan, UT for Utah State's Homecoming Weekend. The floats tossed candy to everyone and the kids got lots of candy! We went up to see Brad, Brittany (she had to work during the parade) , their kids and Grandma.

Finally the Internet!!!

Image
The Internet went out for 5 days. I was ok for the most part except for checking email. I don't really care about the other stuff but checking email is like answering your phone!!!! Anyway it is back and this is what has been happening.   Marissa does a pretty good head stand. For not having any gymnastics classes she is good and Jackie is following right behind her in this skill.   April has been sick with a cough and cold for 4.5 weeks. She has already been on antibiotics and they helped a little. But we have been in and out of the doctors a ton in the last 8 weeks (with all the kids). FINALLY on Tuesday they concluded she has the beginnings of pneumonia. She is on medicine and doing better.   It took me a while to find Missa and this is where I found her.

Meal Times

Image
Hopefully we are getting somewhere with Meal Times. It has been REALLY hard to get Jare Bear to actually want to sit and eat. Yeah I know he is just barely 2 but he wants us to feed him instead of doing it himself!!! But finally this week we have made some progress and he actually wants to feed himself with a fork or spoon. :) AND the kids love to sit and watch each other eat. April has started sucking on Graham crackers and wanting to hold her bottle with help. ALSO>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jacolena..... peed in the little potty today like a big girl. AGH! I think I better get ready for potty training b/c she is ready. NOTE: I have been reading some books on picky eaters and getting help from an Occupational Therapist. That has been a huge help.

WSU Homecoming Carnival

Image
About 2 weeks ago we went to the Weber State Carnival. Of course we didn't go to the actual game but we still had fun. My camera died right after these pictures and I didn't get anymore pictures of the fun.   These are just random pictures from the past two weeks. I meant to upload them but never got the time. We made 6 Paperplate Spiders for Halloween and they are cute!     We took these this morning before church. Of course trying to get a "good" picture of all the kids is REALLY hard. It think this fall we are actually going to spend the money to get pictures done for our family.

Goals

Image
Our Family has set a goal to invite a family/couple/individual to our home every month to get to know people in our ward. We have been in our ward now for almost 7 months and it has been REALLY hard to befriend people. We started this goal so that we could do our part to become better friends. So far we have had dinner with two families and it has been great!!! A younger couple with a baby (in September) and an older couple (October). We actually went to the older couples home b/c the wife can not do stairs b/c of her back and knees. Troy fixed dinner the first time and I fixed dinner the second time. I did an awesome job! Here is what we had: Herb Rubbed Pork Tip Sirloin Roast Strawberry Yogurt Fruit Salad With Rolls (me), Zuchini, Roasted Potatoes and Corn on the Cob (Nancy made the last three foods). I am hoping that other people will see this and start doing it too. Both families we have had over like the idea too. I really think this unifies a ward when it is hard to get...
