Finished Reading the BOM

Image
For friends that are LDS.... WE FINISHED THE BOOK OF MORMON!!!  It only took us almost 8 years but we did it.   For those that aren't LDS... that is like finishing the New Testament in the Bible.   We have worked hard reading and listening to the scriptures.  We usually would skip reading on the weekends and at times forget a month of two.  But to catch up we would listen to a chapter in the morning while eating breakfast. Some things it has done for our family: 1. We feel the Holy Ghost/Spirit more often in our home.  This may not be significant for some, but our kids fight a lot and it has helped our car rides to and from school tremendously especially. Our kids are finally getting to be more spiritual.  2. Wacky Wednesday @ School  Early Release Friday Hike @ Local Nature Reserve Another great day for a hike, kind of windy, well really WINDY.  We have been to this Nature Reserve several times but not on this particular nature loop hike.  We were able to do crafts at the Ranger/Educational Station, one at the beginning and the other at the end.  They were switching out February's craft to March's craft that afternoon.  BONUS!   The Hike: The KIDS loved every minute of it... well except for when the twins bumping into each other and started going at it.  BUT other than that, this hike was more interesting.  The animals tracts, trees, creeks, gullies, pond, vines, rocks and path.   Only accident was when Jare Bear scraped his ear on a twig hanging at his eye level.  He has horrible depth perception and literally swiped his ear off almost.  Luckily that was toward the end.  The girls usua...

Soccer Practices - Spring 2018  And so it begins... weekly soccer practice on Thursday nights.  Last fall I didn't go to a SINGLE soccer practice.  They were at 6:15 pm (right in the middle of dinner) and I was exhausted.  Since Daylight Saving's hasn't hit, soccer practice is currently at 5:15 pm - which I can do.  I can get dinner prepared and ready.  But that also means that I can't stay because Missa will be picked up at that exact same time.  Luckily Soccer Practice and the Horse Stables are 2 minutes apart.  The first soccer practice night was GORGEOUS!!! Friday Night @ Costco for Dinner cousin Hannah joined us, she was spending the night.  getting ready for his basketball game   February Bartholomew East Coast  Family Home Evening Birthday Celebrations too!
