Trey's Wedding Part 1

Trey and Jessica got married in the Raleigh LDS Temple Saturday, June 23rd.  It was a hot and humid day.  Of course things always go wrong BUT the wedding and reception were great!  Here is Part 1, some of the pictures I could take. (only after Troy took the twins home could I get more pictures) Part one is by Troy.   My sister's backyard.  The wedding ceremony was first.  Great ceremony. Dining Room set of food. The bride. Cousin Hannah's Birthday

Image
Yesterday we went over to the Tieks (my sister Colette's house) and celebrated her birthday.  We would have celebrated it with the other birthdays and Father's Day but Colette and Daniel had invited his parents, his aunt and cousin over too.    The house is small but we were able to fit the group in and it wasn't too bad after all.  Hannah did get messy but i didn't get any pictures.  They kids enjoyed playing outside in the backyard with all their cake and ice cream.  Thanks Colette and Daniel!

Matching Socks

This afternoon when we all got home from church I notice my husband and dad had dressed the same…. the Sunday church socks with their normal day-to-day outfits. hehehehe:) One time I asked Troy why he does this… he says,"It's just easier to not change my socks and dirty more socks." Makes sense. :)

Hot, sweaty days

Happy late 11th Anniversary Troy!  June 22, 2001 We were able to go out to dinner last night for our anniversary.  It was the family dinner for the wedding (Trey's) at Milton's Pizza.   It is starting to finally get hot and sweaty here in NC.  We have been lucky not to get many of these kind of days till now!  Yesterday we skipped doing Preschool and went to the school park that is within walking distance. While going to the park, the gator ran out of gas halfway there, we then proceeded to walk the rest of the way (it isn't very far just more fun to ride the gator).  At first we were going to head back home but we the kids really wanted to play.  It was only 9:30 in the morning and it wasn't too hot. When we got back from the park we had our daily dose of Ice Pops/Popsicles or whatever you want to call them.  But this time it was 11:30 and you can see how hot the kids already are getting.  Thank goodness for the shade. Me...

Cousin Trey's Wedding Preparation weekend 2

Image
Here is part 2/weekend 2 that my family (T and I) helped with the yard work at my sister's house.  I mentioned in an earlier post my Cousin Trey is getting married, next weekend in the Raleigh LDS Temple.  His reception and wedding ceremony will be at my sister's home.  A lot of his fiance's family are not LDS.  Mostly aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins. This weekend we were finishing up the walk ways, steps down to the patio (picture below), a car parking pad, stone patio and fire pit.  This week the work was not nearly as strenuous as laying the grass/sod.  It was still hard work but more enjoyable.  Of course AGAIN we had great weather.  Trey and Jessica (fiance) helped at the very beginning but had to get to the LDS Temple that afternoon. Click on the collages so you can see better.  You will notice at the edge (right side) of the patio it "looks" level with the dirt next to it.  It isn't... there a terracing of steps wi...

First Library Trip & Preschool Week 2

Image
First Library Trip by myself We went to the Library this week for the first time by myself for Story time.  (Went last time with my mom and another time with three kids, but not all four)  As mentioned in one of my previous posts we are doing the Summer Reading program, "Dream Big".  We missed the toddler story time and went out to play on the playground first and then joined the preschool story time.    I was pleasantly surprised at how well the kids did.  I had to give "Jare Bear" my keys to keep him busy.  The two youngest girls loved the songs in between the books.  And "Missa" was kind of bored but eventually she will get used to the story time books. Summer Preschool Week 2 "Missa" on Colors/C/3 Day making a rainbow flowers.   "Jacolena" starting her flower craft a day behind.... she did a great job!~ Kids on Nutrition Day.  Finally got  "Jacolena" into the fun of preschool.  Troy taught her ho...
