Multiple Nelsons

Museum of Natural Sciences These are pictures from the NC Museum of Natural Sciences.  This past Wednesday the kids were out out of school so Troy took the 3 oldest kids, my niece and nephew.  I stayed home with the two youngest and it was nice & quiet. :)  Enjoy the pictures.   Doctor Appointments - Baby D's 2 week checkup Baby D had his 2 week checkup this past week.  He is growing well and gaining weight.  He sleeps good at night (crossing my fingers he won't regress)... usually going to bed around 9/10pm, then he wakes up to eat around 3ish and then feeds for about 45 minutes. Then he wakes up to eat again around 5:30/6ish.  I am so glad that at the beginning of the night I can get some good rest (well as long as I go to bed around 10:30).   Here are his stats: Weight: 8 lbs 1.5 oz (35th%) Length: 21 ins (60th %) Head Circumference: 35 1/2 cm (35th%) The kids are adjusting good so far with the new baby.  I have to rem...

My favorite nurse, Danyelle.  She was the best Labor and Delivery nurse ever and worked me through the hard contractions!!!!!   He was just cleaned and this is the first time I held him. The first minutes coming home from the hospital and the kids automatically wanted to hold him.

Things are going much better than the last post.  We take things day by day and are slowly getting more sleep! Last night was one ROUGH NIGHT.  It made my cry. (keep in mind I am doing this by myself with a little bit of help from grandma b/c Troy is working at nights).  Here is how it went: 10:30pm - went to bed 11:45pm - feed baby D 12:30am - went back to sleep 2:45am - feed baby D 3:00am - Crazy A comes in with wet pj's 3:05am - get grandma to help change Crazy A 3:10am - continued feeding baby D 3:30am - Jare Bear tries to get into bed with me, I send him back to his bed while feeding baby D 4:45am - finally got baby D to sleep after multiple feedings, diaper changes gassinesss and fussiness 4:50am - feel back to sleep 5:00am - Jacolena comes in crying because she has either fallen out of her bed or had started to cramp 5:05am - got her back into bed 5:10am - fall back to sleep and dream 5:15am - Jared tries to come into my bed again 5:18am - send him down to get into bed with grandma and grandpa, hoping for him to fall asleep 5:25am - fall back to sleep and dream ...

I wanted to get pictures of the kids holding their younger brother. I am surprised that they actually held still as long as they did and smiled at different times. Each child had to have their turn or there was a big fight about it. Eventually I started losing one by one as their little brother went around being held.  Jare Bear was so tender and loving with him.    "Jacolena" was funny… she wanted to keep holding him but wouldn't look at him. "Missa" wanted to get a picture of me.  Oh only 3 days after having a baby… I don't look too bad. "Missa" took this picture.  This is the most precious of them all.  I couldn't believe how good it turned out.
