Multiple Nelsons

Here are some pictures of me attending my grandmother's funeral. Troy was not able to fly with me. This was my mom's mom and she passed away almost a week ago. Colette and I flew out on Sunday and returned home this afternoon. We had a great time but I am exhausted. I took naps every day and still was very tired. I even tripped at the funeral luncheon and that was scary! Enjoy!

  Just looking cute for the camera     Marissa spent 30 minutes playing with this bathroom rug while I vacuumed, trying to take it where ever I went. She was also trying to straighten out the rug and make it lay flat. It didn't work.:) This picture Troy decided to dress Marissa in half of her UNC outfit. It was a little windy and chilly outside so I didn't quite understand the whole outfit. As you can see, no onsee, pants rolled up and socks. She looks like a red neck toddler. :)  

  I have been posting more b/c there is more to post about! YEAH!!! Today my sister Anne and her kids came over and we worked on the front bushes. The girls helped by keeping Marissa and Evan (cousin) away from the trimmer and running off. Elise and Tessa feed them Goldfishes and played with them. Grant was helping me with the cut branches while Anne trimmed. We loaded them into the Gator and dumped the cut branches. It was a great day to work but I am tired!!!!!

  So the top two pictures are of Troy and Marissa playing. The first is Troy trying to piggy-back Marissa and then of course vice-versa. Got Apples? Marissa just loves apples, applesauce, applejuice and etc... Ok, have you ever since an almost 18 month-old push a full size grocery cart in the store? Well Marissa did with Daddy's supervision. She did bump into a few things but Daddy was steering so I guess they both need driving lessons. :)

  So those people that are pleading with me to put a picture, here it is. I am dressed the sloppiest I have been for 3 weeks and this is me. AND yes I am starting to show and you know i don't care. I am going to get big. :)

  So with me getting a cold, I have been at home taking cute pictures of Marissa. I got her hair into pigtails and it worked. I am hoping her hair will be long enough to do this for Colette and Daniel's wedding. But we shall see.

Well, tonight Marissa has made Troy and I laugh. She runs around after dinner following Troy, Colette or me. So tonight she saw Colette go into her room and thought, "humm let so what Colette is doing." She didn't see Colette come downstairs. Marissa quickly runs upstairs, goes into Colette's run and shuts the door. Then 5 minutes later we hear her crying and can't figure out where she was hiding. We finally realized that she had shut herself in Colette's room. Marissa does this frequently and we have to keep a watch on her b/c there have been times I can't find her b/c we have the "Shutting the door monster!"
