Crazy A's Birthday Party

Present from Grandma Barbara.  Thank you Grandma! Our life is getting busy and in some ways I don't like it and others I do.  I like it b/c my kids are outside playing and out of the house.  The house doesn't get as trashed as it could.  But I just want days in a row where I can clean my bathroom, do my dishes on time, get my laundry folded or sorted or put away, sew quilts, weed the garden, work in the yard, pay bills, take out the old season of clothes, work on my family blog books, update medical histories, order food storage stuff, organize my music, sew my kids' clothes, advocating for my twins' education and go thru my filing cabinet.  I feel so behind ever since I started my sewing business.  Quilt I made for my cousin Jana - she just had a baby girl. :) It has given a good look into my life and what is really important: my family.  My sewing business is great but right now it is on hold for one big reason: I need to catch...

Disappearing Toys

For the past 6 years our house has been messy with toys, toys and toys.  Toys have usually been given to us by friends or family through drop off, Christmas or just because.  We have been so thankful that people have thought of us.  Especially when our kids were toddlers, Troy was going to school and when we were living in apartments.  The toys were needed for sanity purposes. When the kids were in the toddler stage, we would "clean up" (put them in a pile or bin) each night.  Troy and I couldn't stand to step on toys during the day or at night.  As the kids have gotten older,  (8, 6, 6, 5, 2.5) we have slowly stopped cleaning them up.  We have been transitioning the kids to pick up their own stuff for the past 4 years. For the past 1.5 years it has gotten to a point where Troy and I have to basically threaten the kids to PICK UP their toys. Troy has stopped cleaning up (which is good b/c I noticed and realized it wasn't worth it anymore)...

Happy 5th Birthday to Crazy A

Like last year for our kids birthday, we will continue the tradition of taking our family out to dinner for each one of their birthdays. It is slowly getting better taking our kids out to eat! Something I'll be doing different this year is writing about each child on their birthdays.  Since this blog is our family album/family history I think it might be good to write down what I appreciate about them, their characters traits and etc... Crazy A - 5 years old Born April 9, 2010 6 lbs and 15 ozs McKay Dee Hospital, Ogden UT 4th child She was a surprise pregnancy.  We found out we were pregnant right after we returned from a family reunion (July 2009) with my siblings in Heber UT.  Things were going better, the twins were 9 months old.  I had just stopped nursing the twins.
